For Menstrual Cups

Size Aare suitable for women under 34 who have not given birth.

Size Bare suitable for women 34+ or for women of any age who have given birth naturally.

Cupys are more hygienic compared to both pads and tampons. They are made out of 100% medical grade silicon which will allow for its continuous use. Cupys does not contain any chemicals or plastics. That means it is free of toxins and contains no dyes, rubber, bleaches or BPA.

Cupys can holds 3 times as much as tampons do and can be kept in for up to 12 hours.

If you have a heavy flow, you may want to change it more frequently.

Get yourself into a comfortable position as if you were to insert a tampon. There are many different folds and methods you can use to insert the cup. You can seek out more information on this website.

When you first start using Cupys you may be aware of it (especially when you are trying to find the position) Once you are a natural, you won’t feel a thing. If you can consistently feel the menstrual cup inside, then it may be sitting too low.

It can never get lost inside. Cupys sits a lot lower than a tampon. When you insert the cup, you don’t push it up as far as you can as you would do with a tampon. When you insert it, the top of the cup will open up and create a seal for it to work properly. It may take a few cycles for you to get used to. It’s a lot easier than it looks.

Cupys are perfect during night-time, as you can leave it in for longer than a tampon.

Yes you can still exercise. You can run, swim, do some yoga, and even do some high kicks if you’re feeling wild.

Before your period begins, sterilise the cup in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. During your period, rinse it each time you take it out before reinserting. You may also choose to use cleaning wipes or a specific spray. Once your period finishes, repeat the sterilisation process.

The good thing about Cupys is that you can leave it in for up to 12 hours. It holds up to 3 times as much as a tampon would therefore you don’t need to change it as often.  So if you’re out, you can wait until you get home, or if you need to attend to it, you can remove the cup, empty it in the toilet, wipe it clean with toilet paper or wipes and then re insert. Once back home, you can rinse it properly.

The silicone that Cupys use is odourless therefore Cupys does not create a period odour.

Yes, you can still use it. Using a tampon during a light flow can cause irritation, it absorbs fluids and can cause discomfort. You won’t have this problem when using a Cupys. If you have a heavy flow, it is recommended you change the cup more frequently.

No, but it does take a few attempts or a few cycles to get used to removing it. Try not to pull on the stem to remove it. Cupys have tiny air holes at the top of the cup which will make it easier to break the seal. When you pinch the base to remove (air will get inside the tiny holes) which helps break the seal to remove it. If you are new to using Cupys, a suggestion is to take it out in the shower for your first couple of attempts.

The great thing about Cupys is that it will have measurement markings inside the cup. The markings are a great indicator to show when you may have a light, normal or even heavy flow. This is a great way to get to know your body.

If you feel uncomfortable when you are sitting or walking, then you may need to trim the stem of the cup. You can trim it little by little until you have the desired size. Ensure to remove the cup before trimming the stem.
